aRKa textiles

A love of fabric and pattern drew us to the idea of creating a line of products we could both use and wear, in prints and fabrics we loved. We use sustainable and remnant fabrics,  a mix of hand printing, painting and stencil techniques to create our blankets, scarves and dishtowels, and we do it all (mostly) in SF, Brooklyn and LA.

megan bartley-matthews and carrie dutcher, bi-coastal sisters, created aRKa textiles to make things together.

We are excited to begin partnering with print mills in Rhode Island and Long Island to produce our printed fabrics and blankets. Look for them here soon!

About us

In 2012, aRKa textiles was created in Brooklyn to combine our artistic and design resources and allow us to work on a project together while living across the country from each other.  We manage to hit the Village Thrift every chance we get.
